Sorry I've Been Gone! (& Dresses)

Wow! I'm so sorry that it's been forever since I last updated! School's been taking quite a bit of time, I've had some symphony concerts, and I've used the rest of my time to work on my trilogy.

Anyhow, here are three drawings. In my story, after the villain is defeated and the war is over (in the first book) the Lindorians (people of Linderon, the main planet aside from Earth) through a big celebration. So these are three of the outfits worn at the Celebration. (The first picture is of the Lindorian Princess, who is used to such dresses. The second is of the youngest character in my book, who likes to dress up. And the last is of my older girl character, who disdains dresses and would prefer to wear jeans and a sweatshirt.)

Random Quotes

Okay, so I've been pretty busy lately and haven't been able to post on here as much as I should or would like to. So . . . to apologize, here are a bunch of random, fun quotes:

“Rivers know this:  there is no hurry.  We shall get there someday.”  ~A.A. Milne

“An apocryphal story - the word "apocryphal" here means "obviously untrue" - tells of two people, long ago, who were very bored, and that instead of complaining about it they sat up all night and invented the game of chess so that everyone else in the world, on evenings when there is nothing to do, can also be bored by the perplexing and tedious game they invented.”  ~Lemony Snicket

“In the book of life, the answers aren't in the back.”  ~Charlie Brown

“If A equals success, then the formula is:  A = X + Y + Z, where X is work, Y is play, and Z is keep your mouth shut.”  ~Albert Einstein

“We take the stars from heaven, the red from our mother country, separating it by white stripes, thus showing that we have separated from her, and the white stripes shall go down to posterity, representing our liberty.”  ~George Washington

“How many legs does a dog have if you call the tail a leg?  Four.  Calling a tail a leg doesn't make it a leg.”  ~Abraham Lincoln

“Most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.”  ~Abraham Lincoln

“Whatever you are, be a good one.”  ~Abraham Lincoln

“Do not let what you cannot do interfere with what you can do.”  ~John Wooden

"Whenever you look back and say, "If," you know you're in trouble. There's no such thing as "if." The only thing that counts is what really happened." ~Pendragon

“Life is one grand, sweet song, so start the music.”  ~Ronald Reagan

Be more concerned with your character than your reputation, because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are.” ~John Wooden

If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?” ~John Wooden

Talent is God given. Be humble. Fame is man-given. Be grateful. Conceit is self-given. Be careful.” ~John Wooden

“Why someone weak? Because a weak man knows the value of strength, the value of power...” ~Abraham Erskine

Bianca

Okay, so I know I probably sound obsessed and that's probably because I am, but this is another character from my story. This character doesn't actually come into the story until the second book, but she's really important. Her name is Bianca and she's about seven years old. She likes fairy-tales (where the princess isn't helpless. She's very opinionated about that.), art, and animals. Her favorite colors are pink (of course), purple, and aqua blue. Her wish in life is to be able to see music. This is because she will never be able to hear it. Bianca was born deaf and she can't hear anything. But this doesn't mean that she can't communicate. She's very sweet to everyone she meets and most commonly uses the sign 'I Love You'. She's actually more talented with ASL (American Sign Language) than most people her age.

I figured I'd give a brighter, more sweet looking character to you guys after Letters, ha-ha. Yes, actually, strangely they're from the same series.

Anyhow, here's Bianca:

Sorry that I haven't updated in a while. >.< Life gets busy sometimes. But I shall try and update more often.

Letters

So, here's another drawing. This girl's from my story. She's kind of older . . . I think she's about 30-37 years old. She's a Hunter (a Hunter in my story is kind of like the Rangers from Lord of the Rings, just perhaps a little more . . . misguided at times). Anyhow, her name is Letla, though everyone just calls her Letters. Eventually . . . (I haven't completely decided) she might become queen . . . that is if I keep her alive . . .

So . . . yeah. She can really fight. I mean really fight.

A Random Picture

This is a picture I made a while ago of a certain character on an RPG. She's an alien (obviously) and is very serious. I modeled her after that really famous picture from National Geographic of that woman . . .

A Little Poem . . .

So, recently I got this little inspiration to write a couple of poems about God . . . So here's one of them.

Guardian

This is not me,
Not where I should be,
Stuck in this predicament,
To the point that I lament.

The world seems so cruel;
I’m crushed under its rule,
Searching for a way out,
Don’t know for whom to shout.

Where shall I turn?
For whom shall I call?
Where is this Light?
Is there light at all?

This is the Lord’s call
To me to stand tall
To get me on the right track,
To give me strength that I lack—
My Guardian.

I had lost my way,
Refused to obey.
I couldn’t find the right road,
Nowhere to stay, no abode.

I’m ever so lost,
Heart cold with a frost,
Blind to never see,
Does the world hate me?

But now I hear song,
Voices calling me.
They grow ever strong,
Who can they be?

These are the angels of the Lord,
To bring me back onto the board,
To give me love I seek,
To take me as their keep.

This is the Lord’s call
To me to stand tall
To get me on the right track,
To give me strength that I lack
My Guardian.

Now, here I stand,
On new ground, new land,
This is who I should be!
This is truly me…

This is the Lord’s call
To me to stand tall
To get me on the right track,
To give me strength that I lack
My Guardian.

I hope you enjoyed it; I should be posting a doodle or two soon.

In Pictures

To explain the meaning of my hyperspace, I decided to illustrate it.

Here's the equation: Coffee + Space = Hyperspace

 PLUS

Now, do you get it? (I can't take credit for the awesome 'Space' picture, or 'Hyperspace' picture. However, I can take credit for my awesome coffee mug which has the Star Trek insignia on it)

I should be posting something soon, perhaps some art or a poem or something. ;)

New Blog!

Yay! I've finally created a blog! Now, the name's hyperspace, which is the outcome of the lame joke of the URL. I'll be posting a couple drawings to explain it later, but maybe you can figure it out. (Space+Coffee=Hyperspace)

Right now, things are a little rough, as I've just started this blog. But in due time, I should have it completely up and operational!
